📝 Ingredients:

For the Chicken:
• 1 lb (450g) boneless chicken breast or thigh, cut into bite-sized pieces
• 1 tbsp cornstarch (for that perfect crisp)
• 1 tbsp neutral oil (like canola or sunflower)
• Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Gochujang Sauce:
• 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean fermented chili paste – the star of this dish!)
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tbsp honey (or brown sugar for depth)
• 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
• 1 tsp sesame oil
• 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
• 1 tsp grated ginger (optional but recommended)
• 2 tbsp water (to thin it out)

For garnish (optional but Instagram-worthy!):
• Toasted sesame seeds
• Sliced green onions
• Thinly sliced red chili or Korean chili flakes (gochugaru)

🔥 Instructions:
1. Prep the Chicken:
Pat chicken dry, season lightly with salt and pepper, then toss with cornstarch. This step gives it a crisp coating when seared.
2. Sear to Perfection:
In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, heat the oil. Sear chicken pieces for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. Make the Sauce:
In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in gochujang, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, sesame oil, and water. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until it bubbles and thickens slightly.
4. Coat the Chicken:
Return the cooked chicken to the pan, toss until fully coated in that irresistible red glaze. Let it caramelize for another 2 minutes.
5. Serve Hot & Spicy!
Top with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve over steamed rice, in lettuce wraps, or even stuffed into bao buns!
